~  Heat your deep frying pan in high and drop in your butter, lower the heat into  high-medium and once the butter is melted, stir in your sliced onion.  Wait till your onion slices turns translucent and then add in your chicken cube/powder and let it melt with the butter.  Add in your sliced mushrooms.

~  Sprinkle your coarse ground pepper and stir your sliced mushrooms while cooking. Most of the sliced mushrooms should have that dark golden brown bits edges before you add your thickened cream.  Don’t overcook your mushrooms, it should still have that fleshly texture and not too limp.  Pour in your thickened cream and let it boil and bring down to simmer.  Cook for another 30 seconds to 1 minute.

EASY MUSHROOM SAUCE STEP9

~  Quickly remove the Mushroom Sauce from the pan and place in a large serving bowl.  This sauce is at its best, freshly cooked.

BEST WITH:  Grilled Steaks, Sausages, French Fries or Chunky Fries, Meatballs.

NOTES:

  • Mushrooms secretes extra liquid while being cooked so don’t add in extra water.
  • You will know that you have overcooked your mushrooms when you have too much liquid in your pan.
  • Recipe is good for 2-3 servings.
