For our Media Noche (New Year’s Midnight Meal), Mr. H and I wanted something “pika-pika” style (Filipino slang for finger foods or small bite size snacks). Seafood makes great finger foods so we opted for that and just in case the little ones doesn’t want to touch the seafood, we have cooked Pancit Bihon and Pork BBQ sticks for them.
I really like this menu as it was not too heavy for a midnight meal. Before Media Noche the little ones lighted 2 dozens of those thin sparklers outside our front door to celebrate the coming of 2011. We would have liked to celebrate New Year 2011 in South Bank where you can see the fireworks first hand, but there’s too much people in there. The TRIBE preferred the comforts of our home, having a fun day preparing for our Media Noche, laughing at each other for our stupid jokes and pranks….and most of all spending family time while the little ones are still young….in a couple of years time, they’ll be partying or even living miles away from us! Mr. H and I want to treasure this family holiday events while we still can….
BOCCONCINI, TOMATO & BASIL SALAD
NEW YEAR’S NUTS FOR THE NUT HEADS….
So, here’s to the start of 2011…..may all our plans, dreams and wishes come true, if not this year there’s always be the following year (it is not a sin if you needed extension)! LOL!
HAPPY NEW YEAR TO EVERYONE…
